The Biltermans, a luxury hotel and resort chain in Australia, has announced that it will close on the 15th October, and that the hotel will no longer be available for booking.
The company has also announced that a new hotel will be built at the site of the old Stanley.
The Biltters have previously stated that the decision to close the hotel was not a decision to “close the doors to customers, staff or any of the employees in the hotel”.
The hotel was the third to be shut down in the Australian capital after the Sydney Opera House and The Ritz Carlton.
A statement on the company website read, “We have worked hard over the past three years to develop and build a new facility in a vibrant and welcoming environment.
We will be sad to have to close our doors.
We wish everyone who has enjoyed our services a very happy holiday and wish them all the best for their future”.
