Use the cash register The cash register at your hotel isn’t as convenient as it used to be.
But it can still be a lifesaver.
That’s because travelers can use the cash registers at all three major U.S. hotels, including some that don’t have a cash register.
If you have a credit card, use it.
If not, use a debit card.
If a guest book a room with you, it might be a good idea to take their credit card and make it available to other guests as well.
Set up a “hold” order You can make a hold order at a hotel or at the gate.
That means you pay a fixed amount in cash to cover the cost of the room.
If the hold order is for more than $100, you can make the order for less.
If your stay is longer than a month, you might want to set up a hold over until the next check-in.
Book your rooms at the earliest possible time The hotel or hotel group that owns your room should be the one to book your rooms.
