A good year for Mario LeMieux has given him a boost in the esteem of fans, as the former Juventus midfielder has scored four goals and provided two assists in eight Serie A appearances.
The 20-year-old is now the highest scorer for the club in the Champions League with a brace in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Lazio.
The former Juventus man has scored seven goals in all competitions in 2017-18, while he has scored nine goals and assisted on five in Serie A this term.
LeMieaux is also the second-highest scorer in Serie B with three goals in seven matches.
He is also second on the scoring charts in the Supercups with eight goals.
Ahead of the season, LeMéux was handed a three-year contract extension by the club and was handed the captaincy by the Italian coach in July.
The deal will run until 2021, with the club also paying a transfer fee of €18m to the France international.
